Wind Check: When the Way Isn’t Clear, Stay Close

Clarity in the Wind: When the Way Isn’t Clear, Stay Close

“Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.”
Psalm 25:4–5 (NKJV)

Before You Begin

Sometimes we assume we need more information before we can move forward. Yet Scripture reminds us that God often invites us to walk closely with Him before He reveals the entire path.

This week’s Wind Check isn’t about finding all the answers.

It’s about examining whether you’re remaining close to the One who already knows the way.

Take a few quiet moments with the Lord as you work through these questions.

Check Your Direction

Reflect honestly:

  1. Where do you feel the greatest uncertainty right now?

  2. Have you been waiting for complete clarity before taking a step of obedience?

    ☐ Yes

    ☐ Sometimes

    ☐ No

If yes, what step have you delayed?

  3. What has God already made clear through His Word?

List one or two truths you already know He has asked you to obey.

Check Your Proximity

When the destination isn’t clear, closeness becomes even more important.

Which of these areas needs greater attention this week?

☐ Prayer

☐ Time in Scripture

☐ Worship

☐ Trust

☐ Patience

☐ Surrender

☐ Listening

☐ Rest

☐ Other:

What practical step will help you remain close to God this week?

Check Your Next Step

Instead of asking,

“What’s the entire plan?”

Ask,

“What’s my next faithful step?”

Write one specific act of obedience you believe God is asking you to take.

Prayer

Father,

When I cannot clearly see the path ahead, help me stay close to You instead of chasing certainty.

Teach me Your ways.

Lead me in Your truth.

Give me the courage to obey what You have already revealed while trusting You with what You have not.

Help me measure success this week not by how much I know, but by how faithfully I walk with You.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

This Week’s Commitment

Complete the sentence.

This week I will stay close to God by…

Remember

You don’t have to see the entire path to faithfully walk with the Shepherd.
