Before You Begin

Take two quiet minutes.

Put your phone face down.

Breathe.

Ask the Lord to show you the difference between true waiting and delayed obedience.

1. What has God already made clear?

Write one thing you already know God has been showing you, teaching you, correcting, or inviting you to obey.

Reflection Prompt:
What do I know God has already made clear?

2. What am I still delaying?

Be honest.

Are you waiting because God said wait, or are you delaying because obedience feels uncomfortable?

Reflection Prompt:
What do I keep delaying?

3. What is the next faithful step?

Do not overcomplicate it.

The next faithful step may be small: make the call, send the message, apologize, set the boundary, rest, say yes, say no, finish the assignment, or prepare for what you prayed for.

Reflection Prompt:
What is the next faithful step I can take this week?

4. What is underneath my hesitation?

Check what applies:

  • Fear

  • Overthinking

  • Waiting for perfect timing

  • Wanting the whole plan first

  • Avoiding discomfort

  • Needing confirmation

  • Not sure yet

  • Other

Reflection Prompt:
What is really underneath my hesitation?

5. One sentence of surrender

Complete this sentence slowly.

Do not write what sounds impressive. Write what is true.

Lord, I will obey You in ____________________________, even while I trust You with what I do not yet know.

Closing Prayer

Lord, give me courage for the next faithful step.

Help me not to call fear wisdom or avoidance waiting.

If You are telling me to wait, give me peace.

If You are telling me to move, give me obedience.

I trust You with the whole road, but I will walk in the light You have given.

Amen.

Still listening for the wind with you,
