Formation Rhythm Planner
Healthy formation requires more than good intentions. Leadership places demands on our time, attention, emotions, and spiritual lives, and without intentional rhythms, it is easy for the work of ministry to receive more attention than the formation of the leader doing the work.
The Formation Rhythm Planner is designed to help you establish sustainable rhythms of spiritual formation that strengthen who you are becoming in Christ as you carry the responsibilities of leadership. It moves formation from something we value in principle to rhythms we intentionally practice.
What This Resource Will Help You Do
Use the Formation Rhythm Planner to:
Strengthen your walk with Christ
Examine your current spiritual and leadership rhythms
Identify patterns that need greater attention or reinforcement
Establish sustainable practices for your present season
Consider the support and accountability you need
Create a practical 30-day formation rhythm
Review and adjust your rhythms as seasons and responsibilities change
The goal is not to create a perfect spiritual schedule. It is to establish a sustainable rhythm that helps you remain attentive to the continuing work of the Holy Spirit while carrying the responsibilities God has entrusted to you.
How to Use the Planner
Work through the planner prayerfully and honestly. Pay attention not only to what you want your rhythms to be, but also to what your current patterns reveal about how you are actually living and leading.
Use what you discover to establish realistic commitments for your present season. Then return to the planner after 30 days to review what has become more consistent, what pressure has revealed, what needs reinforcement, and what your next faithful step should be.
From the FORM Framework
Formation shapes the leader. Before ministry can be strengthened through Order, reproduced through people, or directed toward Mission, the leader must continue being formed in Christ. The Formation Rhythm Planner helps put that conviction into practice by creating space to examine, establish, and revisit the rhythms that support faithful leadership.
